A closer look at Larsson & Jennings’ Saxon SII watch

You only have to look in any big department store up and down the country to know that the British watch scene is booming right now – and Larsson & Jennings is one of its biggest players. Set up by Andrew Jennings and Joakim Larsson, the brand’s USP is Swedish design with British sensibilities – hard to define, sure, but it looks damn good.

This can be seen nowhere better than its latest launch: the Saxon SII. Crafted with a brushed steel case and a contrating polished silver bezel, this watch features a Swiss movement, sleek navy leather strap and beautifully straightforward, simple face with a date function and dropped second-hand dial.

In short, it’s handsome enough to be worn with your best midnight blue dinner jacket, but won’t look too smart slipped under your grey sweatshirt on the weekend. Perfect.

Here, we talk to the man after the ampersand – Andrew Jennings – about his watches and which labels he’d like to see them worn with at the four day menswear extravaganza…
