Chelsea skipper, John Terry and his Blues counterpart, Mikel Obi, are just two of the many stars expected in the country on Wednesday ahead of Friday’s testimonial game in honour of the former Super Eagles’ captain
The duo arrived Nigeria on Wednesday for the Joseph Yobo Centenary Game scheduled for Friday, May 27 and are expected to feature in the testimonial match for the Nigerian legend slated for 4pm at the Adokiye Amiesimaka Stadium in Port Harcourt.
Nwankwo Kanu, John Terry, Samuel Eto’o, Andre Ayew, Aaron Mokoena, Didier Drogba and Yaya Toure are among the stars who will take to the field in honour of Yobo, as he takes his final bow from football in the Joseph Yobo Centenary Game in Port Harcourt.
Yobo, the first Nigerian to play a century of matches for the Super Eagles, recently brought the curtain down on an illustrious caree, which included spells with Everton, Marseille, Fenerbahce and Standard Liege.
The match pits the Friends of Joseph Yobo XI against a select Super Eagles XI.
Former Everton and Manchester United coach, David Moyes, will manage the Friends of Yobo XI with Shaibu Amodu managing the Super Eagles.
