An Odion Ighalo’s hatrick and a goal for Samuel Kalu ensure the super eagles of Nigeria secured all 3 points against Libya in Saturday’s Group E Nations cup qualifier match. The first goal came in the 5th minutes from the penalty spot as Odion Ighalo converted to hand Nigeria a 1-0 lead heading to the second half. The second half also started well with Nigeria getting most of the possession and Odion Ighalo latching onto a pass from the Arsenal man Alex Iwobi to hand Nigeria a deserving 2 goal lead. After much pressure the third goal came courtesy Odion Ighalo again as he got on the end of a cross,by Ahmed Musa to rebound the ball into the net to make it 3. Odion Ighalo was then substituted for Isaac Success to a standing ovation from the fans at the Godswill Akpabio Stadium. The game ended with the forth goal from Samuel Kalu. Nigeria still sit second in Group E behind South Africa.
