The next James Bond movie will be the final franchise piece which will star Daniel Craig as the iconic character.
However, while there is no title yet for the final Craig-led Bond movie (the consensus is still on “Bond 25” ), and have been able to learn who will be joining the dapper actor on his final outing as the charming British spy par excellence.
In a special #Bond25 live stream that was aired on April 25, it was announced that Naome Harris, Ralph Fiennes, Lea Seydoux, Ben Whishaw, Jeffrey Wright, and Rory Kinnear will all be back for the 25th installment of the James Bond franchise.
The announcement was from the Jamaican residence of Bond creator Ian Fleming, where he first conceived the idea of 007. It was also announced that Jamaica will be the primary location of the movie’s shoot, as well as Italy, the United Kingdom, and Norway.
The decision to move location to Jamaica will put the Bond character on some familiar ground. The island was the location of the very first Bond movie ( “Dr. No,” which was released in 1962), as well as 1973’s “Live and Let Die.”
The live stream also revealed that Rami Malek, who recently won an Oscar for his role in the biopic Bohemian Rhapsody, will play the main villain in the next Bond movie. The cast announcement was concluded with names such as Ana de Armas, Lashana Lynch, Dali Benssalah, and David Denick.
Much like the title, the plot of the movie has still been kept under wraps. All viewers got was that Bond won’t be on active duty. Producer Barbara Broccoli claimed that the beginning of the movie will see him “enjoying himself” in Jamaica.
