The 2019 NBA playoffs might have just begun, but Stephen Curry isn’t playing around.
On April 13, the Golden State Warriors guard and two-time league MVP broke the record for most three-point shots made in playoff history by a single player , as his team held off the Los Angeles Clippers in their first Round 1 playoff game.
Curry scored 8 out of 12 three-pointers , bringing his career playoff tally to 386 in just 91 games . The previous record was held by Ray Allen , who made 385 three-pointers in 171 games .
Curry put up 38 points, 15 rebounds, and 7 assists in the match, and his performance was the major catalyst of the Warriors’ comprehensively 121-104 defeat of the Clippers.
Up next is the second matchup in the series, which will be on April 15 .
