Stephen Curry has exerted himself as the greatest shooter that the sport of basketball has ever seen, and he isn’t done yet. With that status, 3 NBA championships, and 2 MVP awards, he’s earned himself a lot of money for his on-court activities.
However, the Golden State Warriors guard is cashing in off the court as well, and he has several ventures in his portfolio. Now, his latest investment is Palm Unlocked, a device which the company describes as a “very small, minimalist mobile device.”
Steph has always lived by simplicity, and he shows it here as well. The product tagline is simple; “Be connected, not consumed.”
In a post on Instagram, Curry shared that he has invested in the tech company. The product has been in development for a while, and it is now available for purchases in an out of the United States. As a result, fans can get their hands on it soon enough.
Stephen Curry is 30 years old, so this makes him the oldest player on his team. He is in the third year of a 5-year, $201 million contract with the Golden State Warriors. However, he has started to make moves off the court to secure his future. Every sportsman knows that time is ticking, and they make moves into other ventures while in their prime. Steph knows this, and he has begun on his path.
Steph has put his money to work as he climbs higher up the celebrity ladder. Like every basketball player of his status, Steph has a sneaker deal with a sports brand. His deal comes with popular sports brand Under Armour, and he reportedly owns a stake in the company.
Then, he’s got Unanimous Media, a media and production company behind “Emanuel,” a faith-based documentary made with Emmy winner Viola Davis. Unanimous Media also recently signed a contract with Sony Entertainment, with more products expected soon.
Steph has two web series; “Stephen vs. The Game” (in collaboration with Facebook) and “5 Minutes from Home” (on YouTube).
Steph’s wife, Ayesha Curry, is one of the most popular chefs in the world. She has a restaurant, International Smoke, which has several locations. Both spouses host two shows on ABC Television as well; “Holey Moley,” a miniature golf competition, and “Family Food Fight,” hosted by Ayesha. It’s a great time to be a Curry, and it pretty much shows.
At this point, Stephen Curry could hang his boots up today and rest assured that his family is financially secure because things are more than good.
