Chadwick’s posthumous tweet becomes the most ‘liked’ twitter post in the site’s history

 The 43-year-old Black Panther star Chadwick Boseman died after battling colon cancer secretly for 4 years during which he acted a handful of movies, not letting on his suffering of any health problem.


The tweet by the family on behalf of Chadwick the family wrote :

‘it is with immeasurable grief that we confirm the passing of Chadwick Boseman. Chadwick was diagnosed with stage III colon cancer in 2016, and battled with it these last 4 years as it progressed to stage IV.’

‘A true fighter, Chadwick persevered through it all, and brought you many of the films you have come to love so much. From Marshall to Da 5 Bloods, August Wilson’s Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and several more, all were filmed during and between countless surgeries  and chemotherapy’. they said

The tweet accompanied by a portrait of Boseman has over 7 Million likes and 3 Million retweets

The record for the most liked tweet was held by former US President, Barack Obama after he shared the famous Nelson Mandela quote. ‘ No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion.’ That tweet garnered 4.3M likes
